Susan Cain notes that society celebrates the extroverted ideal. Our schools and communities strive to bring out the extrovert in all of us. This extroverted bias is likely present within our corporate offices too. The content space of the Quiet Leadership Café is to develop introverts strengths, work on their weaknesses and promote introverts into leadership positions. Introverts tend to listen more than talk, and are likely to ask their team more probing questions. Their lower levels of assertiveness, may make them more likely to reflect on and implement employee ideas. This in-turn creates a positive feedback loop in which employees are more inspired to be proactive and offer up innovative solutions.
