In today's business world introverts can feel overlooked and misunderstood. Being an introvert doesn't mean you can't be a great leader, it does mean one should attempt to build on your quiet strengths and make it a great source of power in the workplace.

Short-term leadership development measurements and web -site measurements:

  1. Learning how to manage up, especially if your boss has a more extroverted personality type.

  2. Learning how to lead projects using your authentic voice and self-promoting your accomplishments.

  3. Learning to how lead teams effectively using your authentic voice while demonstrating, innovation, ideas, and strategy.

  4. Public speaking and executive presence. Articulating your ideas and communicating well in face-to-face situations is a hidden art form introverts will unearth to become more effective leaders.

  5. Reducing the number of meetings and providing the space for deep thinking, reflection and creativity will increase your return on employee engagement.

  6. Traffic to the web-site with the number of new visitors increasing monthly and repeat visitors. User adoptions and increase in content leader board views, daily activity is it being viewed the day content is published.

  7. Number of leaders who self-identify themselves as introverts increase. More formally, based on the MBTI and the DiSC scores, I would like to see an increase in leader roles scores move towards the introverted side of the spectrum. For example, if in 2015 75% of our business leaders self-identified as extroverts will 60% of the same population in 2016 self-identify as introverts.

  8. More creative space for employee based upon a greater understanding and appreciation of each other personality types. This can be measured in our formal annual Climate Survey questionnaire. Additionally, a targeted questionnaire to a sample population in specific to the culture changing to one of less meetings, more reflection and creation, willingness to work within your needs to be successful. Has the environment change where introverts and extroverts can thrive equally?

  9. Reducing the number of meetings and providing the space for deep thinking, reflection and creativity will increase your return on employee engagement.
